There's nothing quite like the shimmering combo of shiny silver buckles with big bright gold coins! Head on out to the club on May 5th and 6th for the "Gold Grab!"
And don't forget it's the last registered shoot at the Club before the State Shoot at the end of June, so you won't want to miss out on the opportunity to get in those last registered targets before "the main event."
This year, the April shoot is your chance to get some (or all if you're lucky!) of your targets at the State Shoot taken care of!
(You may remember that we've typically done this for the May shoot in past years, but we're switching things up this time -- keep reading below to see what we've got up our sleeve for May)
Want to know what you can do to help build and support a new generation of trap shooters? You can do it simply by coming out and participating in the 2nd annual fundraising event for the KTC! How easy is that?
The Kingsburg Gun Club is proud to be the host club for the KTC youth shooting team and we hope you will all mark your calendars and get your team together to participate in this event supporting these budding new shooters. To get started, just click on the link provided to download the event flyer and registration form.
Make A Difference Outdoors Fundraising Shoot
How would you feel about getting in an extra day of shooting while supporting a great organization at the same time?
If that sounds like a good idea to you, mark your calendar for Saturday, February 24th!
On that day, the traps will be open and a good time had by all in support of Make A Difference Outdoors. If you aren't familiar with the group, they are a group of avid outdoorsmen (and women) who organize events and fundraisers for Veterans, people with special needs, and young people in order to encourage and promote participation in outdoor activities such as trapshooting, hunting, fishing, and archery. If you want to find out more about their organization, please visit their Facebook page and be sure to like it in order keep up with their events and activities throughout the year. https://www.facebook.com/makeadifferenceoutdoors/
Please note that all Veterans shoot for free that day (including 2 boxes of shells provided by M.A.D.), and food will be available. To make the day go smoother and make sure everyone is accommodated, an RSVP to the event would be appreciated. You can RSVP one of three ways: by sending a message to their Facebook page, calling (559) 981-6684, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
We hope you'll come out and support this group of men and women who truly are making a difference in the lives of others by sharing their love of outdoor activities with those who may not otherwise have access to participate.
That's right, the Club is hosting a cornhole tournament on October 14th. There are lots of great prizes to be won, and lots of fun and laughs to be had, so mark your calendars and join us! You don't want to end up feeling disappointed because you missed out....
It's hard to believe it is already time to say this, but don't forget to mark your calendars for our LAST registered shoot for 2017! Join us on Sept 2nd and 3rd for a weekend full of four 100 handicapped target events, and the chance to win a brand new Glock! (*see full shoot program for more details*)
We are proud to be the California location for the 2017 Western Zone, July 14-16. Come on out to the Club and represent the Golden State while competing against shooters participating at other clubs throughout the Western United States!
CA State Trapshooting Championship Shoot
Our biggest event of the year is coming! Each year the CGSTA hosts the CA State Trapshooting Championships at the Kingsburg Gun Club the last *full* week of June. This year, that means the competition will be held June 20th through the 25th, with a Juniors shoot on June 17th and a Club sponsored "Pre-State Shoot" taking place June 18th and 19th. So get ready for 9 days of shooting fun!
For those shooters who are wanting to set up camp on the grounds during the shoot, there is camping allowed in designated areas for a small nightly fee. All new campers coming in will be assigned spaces on a first come, first serve basis (no reservations being taken). When you arrive, check in with our Camping Chairperson (or a designee on duty) and you will be directed to an open space at that time.
Please keep in mind that the Club does NOT have RV hookups on site so you will be dry camping and using generators for power during your stay....there are shower facilities on the grounds to help reduce the need for water usage in your RVs/trailers.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email the webmaster and we will do our best to answer any questions you may have and/or address any concerns you may have.
We look forward to seeing you and having yet another successful State Shoot!
